Update on School Nurses’ Training

In March, the final training session for school nurses from the Versailles Academy took place in Essonne.

Dr Luciana Scattin (left), from Raymond Poincaré Hospital in Garches, led the session and answered the many questions raised by school nurses, who are often on the front line when it comes to supporting the health of 6th-grade students.

This training program, provided free of charge by the Cotrel Foundation thanks to the unwavering commitment of healthcare professionals, enables school nurses to fulfill a mission assigned to them since 2021: “paying particular attention to children’s backs.” The many questions raised and the requests for practical workshops clearly demonstrate the strong interest generated by these half-day sessions.

The training session planned for the Créteil Academy has been postponed until the beginning of the new school year. It will be followed by training sessions for school nurses from the Lille Academy.

In addition, a refresher session for school nurses from the Grenoble Academy will provide an ideal opportunity to organize a new stage of the Scolimpiades in the region, in October.
