Our day-to-day commitment

Cotrel Foundation – Institut de France was born of Dr. Yves Cotrel’s wish to bring together people, wills and skills that transcend borders, just like the institution that houses it.

It is positioned as a crossroads for exchanges between researchers, donors and institutions, which is essential to make progress in research and raise awareness of this public health issue.

With over 5 million euros invested in 85 research projects worldwide since its creation, the Foundation proves strong commitment and determination to identify, prevent and understand idiopathic scoliosis.

The Fondation Cotrel’s day-to-day commitment is to work actively towards a better understanding of idiopathic scoliosis through a number of essential initiatives.

A major cause

At Cotrel Foundation, we are dedicated to identifying and monitoring innovative research projects aimed at improving understanding and treatment of this condition.
At the same time, we organize “scoliosis early detection awareness days” across the country, to inform and educate the public about the importance of early detection.
We also believe in the importance of supporting school nurses to ensure proper monitoring of children’s back health.

These actions are essential to ensuring that every child receives appropriate attention and support in the prevention of scoliosis.

However, to continue to carry out these missions, we need your support. The donations we receive are essential, and are used exclusively for research projects.
