Pr Ayman Assi

Ayman is a Professor at the Faculty of Medicine, Saint Joseph University, Beirut, Lebanon, and Director of the Biomechanics and Medical Imaging Laboratory. A biomedical engineer, he holds a PhD in biomechanics from Arts et Métiers de Paris (France).

His main research focuses on patient-specific 3D musculoskeletal modeling in both static and dynamic modes, with a particular interest in functional analysis of patients with spinal deformities.
Prof. Assi and his team work closely with the Georges Charpak Institute of Human Biomechanics (Arts et Métiers, Paris) and Lenox Hill Hospital (New York, USA).
Ayman is president of the European Society for Movement Analysis in Adults and Children (ESMAC) and a member of the program committee of EUROSPINE (The spine society of Europe). Ayman is president of the European Society for Movement Analysis in Adults and Children (ESMAC) and a member of the program committee of EUROSPINE (The spine society of Europe).
