After a master’s degree in medical engineering and a doctorate on the application of ultrasound to the mechanical characterization of soft tissues, I began my career as a researcher on the biomechanics of adolescent idiopathic scoliosis.
Today, I am a professor at Arts et Métiers, an engineering school in Paris (France), and my research activity is developing in three main areas: clinical research in direct collaboration with clinicians, translational research on the development of ultrasound-based methods in biomechanics, and fundamental research on the biomechanical characterization of soft tissues.
All these areas converge to study different aspects of adolescent idiopathic scoliosis. This research has received substantial support from the Fondation Cotrel.
