Trained as a cell biologist, my researches have led me to focus on understanding the mechanisms that facilitate the integration of chemical or mechanical signals involved in the formation of organs with robust architecture in physiological or pathological conditions, including the spinal column.
It was in this context that I had the opportunity to tackle issues linked to the understanding of scoliosis, in particular its biological substrates, and to become involved with the Scientific Board of the Cotrel Foundation to advance the state of knowledge at the intersection of clinical and fundamental research.
